Sara Sullivan Peccianti, known artistically as "LaSullivan", is a photographer storyteller who passionately moves between the fascinating cities of Milan and Siena, but never stops and goes wherever there are stories to tell. Her art is rooted in a deep love for narratives, fueled by the stories her mother told her before falling asleep. So she decided to "write" stories through the lens of her camera.

Born in Milan in 1992, her passion for art led her to undertake studies in Cultural Heritage at Brera and there she discovered that photography is one of her greatest passions. For a few years, she combined work in the retail sector with specialized courses in photography. In 2019, she attended the two-year course at the Italian Institute of Photography, where she distinguished herself by winning a scholarship.

After completing her studies, LaSullivan began working as a professional photographer, sharing a studio and specializing in portraiture, weddings and reportage. It is during this period that she begins to create her first self-portraits, feeling the need to explore and tell her personal evolution. For her, the self-portrait is an inner journey, a deep investigation into one's feelings and experiences.

Her visual language is powerful and evocative, capable of transmitting intense emotions. Through metaphors, allusions and visual references, she analyzes her thoughts and encapsulates the sufferings of the past. In 2022, thanks to these works, she holds a photography/self-portrait course at the Como prison, supported by a psychologist, helping inmates to express their emotions through art.

 

Currently, LaSullivan works as a photographer for weddings and events, adopting a reportage approach that captures the essence and emotions of special moments.

 

LaSullivan has numerous exhibitions in Italy and Europe, as well as significant publications (Il fotografico, Eyes Open magazine, Perimetro etc.), carrying on her mission of telling stories through photography.
